| At the time William Booth, the founder of the Salvation Army started his work he could not have imagined he would establish an Army, the only Army fighting without guns. It was not until the year 1878 the Salvation Army got its name and its members started to wear uniform. Flag, uniform and also the crest of the Salvation Army are not only a colourful and visible distinctive mark, these emblems have also their meaning. |
